Blackwell affordable homes site agreed

Lickey and Blackwell Parish Council agreed unanimously on the piece of land on Greenhill, Blackwell, as the site for a proposed affordable housing project.
The council had delayed a decision to see if plans for the major housing development in Barnt Green would have an impact on what they were seeking to do in Blackwell.
But Bromsgrove planning officer Mike Dunphy told them: “In my view, I wouldn’t let the application at Barnt Green affect what you are doing too much for the moment. It still may be possible to bring one of the sites forward as a rural exception site, although depending what happens with the site at Barnt Green it might be a bit more difficult.”
